Notes:
Hinds, a civil engineer, worked for 16 years as a designer of dams for the United States Bureau of Reclamation and later in similar capacity in the private sector. He also worked for California state agencies and finally worked as an engineering consultant. His career covered about 65 years.
Summary:
Studies, engineering drawings, and photographs of dam projects in the western U.S., Mexico, and Korea. A transcript of an oral history of Hinds describes his personal background, education, and professional career. Also includes reprints of his articles in professional journals.
