Mah-ne-hah-nah--Great Walker, Ioway chief. This man is sound in council, and brave in battle. His war-club, with its delicately touched point, has not been carried for show. He has heard the shout of battle, and the war-whoop, and joined in both; and won Indian laurels. [P. 11.]
Catalogue of One Hundred and Fifteen Indian Portraits, representing eighteen different tribes, accompanied by a few brief remarks on the character, &c. of most of them. Price 12 1/2 cents.
