A forty minutes Study from life by R. Peale. This man whose beard has never been cut, is employed among the artists in Rome as a porter, serving occasionally as the model for an historical head; but the fellow was such an unclean beast, notwithstanding the fountains of Rome, that a second sitting was inadmissable.
