An original Study from the life, by R. Peale--The Portrait of the celebrated Sculptor THORWALDSEN, a native of Denmark and originally a shipwright. He went young to Rome, studied assiduously in despite of poverty, and finally rose to the pinnacle of fame.--Since the death of Canova, he is considered the master spirit of Sculpture, the rich and honoured ornament of Rome.
