About which the celebrated Vasari says, that it is impossible for the human mind to imagine a head more fitted to the subject. A repetition of this same painting, with some slight variations, has been executed by Andrea, in the church of the Annunciation, at Florence. All the best judges have pronounced both of them to be original. [P. 12.]
