Original and Very Precious Painting on Wood, Representing Our Saviour, (painting)
Appears in exhibition catalog as entry no. 164 (Sale info: For Sale).
The immortal founder of the Lombard school painted this work, in his youth, in the palace Giustiniani, at Rome, in 1472, as it appears from a memorandum, which, from the family Giustiniani, went into the possession of Chevalier Tosi, of Florence. It is believed that, as it was often the case of this illustrious painter, that this painting was not entirely finished. [P. 11.]
