An original painting, executed by the great master of the Florentine School, in 1517, representing a Madonna kneeling before the Child. It would be too long to repeat the encomiums which the board of Examiners in Florence, and all the best judges, have bestowed on this very precious master-piece. The judgment pronounced by the celebrated Abbe Misserini on this painting, as well as on others of this same collection, we think, the best and the most undeniable testimonial of the originality of this specimen of painting.
