R.A. A simple and true representation of rustic simplicity. The countenance of the cottager beams with health, contentment, and goodness, while his little girl appears with spirits light as air, and the freshness of a mountain daisy. This subject was a great favourite; and the artist received 80 guineas from the engraver for the privilege of being allowed to engrave it.
