"Ferrari. Linda of Chamouni. 32 x 40. The heroine of the story is seen bereft of reason, but returning home with her mountaineer lover who has reached her heart through the songs of savoy. She had left her home eager to taste the pleasures of the French capital and had become the mistress of a nobLeman there. To her father's entreaties she was deaf, but her lover was more successful. The original of this picture is in a private collection in England."
