"Bartholome Esteban Murillo. Pilas. (Spain. 1613-1685.) The annunciation. 38 x 46. The angel is represented as saluting the virgin with the words 'hail, thou are highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women, etc.' (Luke I, 28). Few of Murillo's paintings surpass this one. The original is in the Royal Gallery at Madrid."
