"(Fr.) born 1704. Died at Paris, 1770. Pastoral scene. 45 x 35. Conventional shepherds and shepherdesses, of the marie Antoinette type at Trianon, are ready for the inevitable love making. This picture is a good example of the style of art current and fashionable in Boucher's time."
