"(Hungary.) Munich. The tete-a-tete. 24 x 18. The gentleman acts as though telling his fair companion that her portrait does not do her justice. From the cigar between his fingers he must be on terms of easy familiarity in the house. The subdued, ruddy light produced by the color of the window shade is very effectively managed throughout the picture."
