"(Hungarian.) Paris. Pupil of m. munkacsy. Honorable mention, Paris Salon. The unwilling schoolboy. 40 x 32. A well-painted French domestic interior. The little girls on the right are evidently not averse to the day's work, but the little central figure forcibly reminds one of shakespeare's lines in the seven ages of man: 'and then the schoolboy, with his satchel and shining morning face, creeping like a snail unwillingly to school.'"
