"(Ital.) Paris. Pupil of the Academy of Naples. Med. 2nd cl. 1848. Legion of Honor 1859. Officer of the Order of the Crown of Italy. Driving out the flock. 35 x 22. This canvas is an excellent example of the artist in the field in which he is most at home. His flock is not idealized, but is just such as one might see in the early morning turned out to pasture. Life and movement are strongly marked in this study."
