"Our home artists were all represented by some of their finest productions, among which 'a portrait of Dr. Brown,' by G. Gilbert; 'A Portrait of Squire Clarke,' by C. Kimble; and a crayon head of the late Rev. Dr. Pease, by J.M. Mundy, attracted much notice." [P. 20-21; serials 04110043 through 04110045 all relate to this commentary. Only the portrait of Pease appeared in the "Catalogue of the pictures" which was the primary source indexed in this catalogue.]
