This Artist, born in Paris in 1661, was a pupil of his father in Rome where he studied the works of the greatest masters and acquired an elevated, just, and inlightened style. His deep erudition allowed him to introduce in his compositions wit and genius sustained by an animated colouring and a lively, pathetic or graceful expression.
