[Serials 04070191 through 04070193 were exhibited collectively under a single serial number in the following manner: "48-50. incl. 1. Perseus and Medusa. 2. Sappho's reproof of Alkacos. 3. Bellerophon's combat with the Chimera. orig. local. Island of Melos. Cast from original terra cottas in Brit. Museum. Presented by E.E. Salisbury." These were exhibited in the "gallery of sculpture," and preceded by a 31-line essay indicating that many of the sculptures in this gallery came from the parthenon.]
