Elisha Williams, son of the Rev. William Williams of Hatfield, Mass., was born August 24th, 1694. . . . This portrait, which represents Rector Williams in his clerical character, was copied in 1795, by Moulthrop, from an original painting by Smybert. [Pp. 10-11.]
