"b. Liverpool. For many years was a general commission merchant and cotton-broker in Cincinnati, devoting himself to art in his leisure moments. J having fallen heir to a large estate, he returned to Liverpool, where he now pursues art in a leisurely way. " A misty morning. A peculiarly attractive picture, with a wonderfully fine effect of light breaking through the fog." [P. 67.]
