"b. Hudson, N.Y., 1845. Younger brother of Arthur Parton, in whose studio he spent two years. In 1873 went to Europe to spend a few months in Great Britain, but meeting with success in London, he resolved to remain there. Exhibits at the Royal Academy and Grosvenor Galleries." [P. 8.]
