"b. Florence, 1616. d. 1686. School of Matteo Rosselli. His best works were madonnas and penitent saints, which he painted with great delicacy and grace. There is considerable difference in the quality of his works, but they are all valuable. He especially excelled in the painting of hands." [P. 77.]
