"Enamels on china. These plates are entirely unique, being from originals by J.M. Falconer, of New York, of which no duplicates have been or will be made. They are all done with metalic oxides, fixed fast and into the glaze by heat, varying from 1,500 to 3,000 degrees." [P. 30.]
