In style and color, this painting greatly resembles the compositions of Rubens. The coloring of the faces is peculiarly Flemish, and evinces extraordinary talent in the artist. It deservedly attracted general attention, and was unquestionably the finest copy in the hall. Silver Medal. [P. 91.]
