A high abrupt bank, crowned with verdure and shrubbery; below it, a grassy turf with a group of four sheep, a little black goat, and a white Angola; the shepherd who has charge of them, has nestled himself in a cleft of a rock, and is wiling away the long hours by playing the pipe; on the left is a clump of light trees, and in the distance a river and hills. The effect of a bright summer's day at noon. [P. 9.]
