(After Hess) Grape. A view of one of those spots of pasture ground in the Alps, resorted to by the peasants of the valleys, with their flocks, during the summer months. Here is a group of eight sheep and two goats, kept by a peasant girl, who is lying down at the foot of a rock. The effect is that of a clear morning, the sunlight streaming over the little spot through the lofty mountains which encompass it. Copied for the present owner, from the original in Dusseldorf.
