By ALBINO or ALBANI, (Francesco) an Italian Painter, born at Bologna in 1578, and died in the same place in 1666, aged 82; although his chief excellence lay in History yet he occasionally exercised his Pencil in Landscape, in which he attained considerable eminence. He was a disciple of Guido Rheni. Albano's Wife was said to be extremely beautiful, he always made her and her children as models for Venus and Cupids; his pictures are highly esteemed. [P. 14.]
