By ANDREA SACCHI, a celebrated Italian Historical Painter, born at Rome, in 1594, and died in 1668, aged 74; he was a disciple of Francisco Albano, with whom he spent several years in such close application, that at last he was counted superior to his Master in his taste of design, and in the correctness of his drawing.
