By P. WOUWERMANS, a celebrated Flemish Painter of Huntings, Hawkings, &c. born at Harlem in 1620, and died in 1668, aged 48; he was a disciple of John Wynants, and arrived at such a degree of perfection, as to be esteemed superior to all his contemporaries. His paintings were universally coveted throughout all Europe. At one period the Dauphin of France, and the Elector of Bavaria, bought up every picture of Wouwerman's that could be procured, and gave enormous prices for them. [P. 8.]
