By JOHN VON KESSEL, a Flemish Painter of Fruit, Flowers, &c. born at Antwerp, in 1626, and died in 1708, aged 82; he became exceedingly famous for painting those particular objects which he choose [sic] to represent; and not only excelled in Fruit and Flowers, but was likewise eminent for his Portraits.
