The largest and most important example of this famous master of the French school ever shown in the West, and one which fully maintains his reputation. The subject is a favorite one with Lambinet. A cloudy day in late summer, with yellow grain standing in sheaves. A rivulet of brown water in the foreground, and a group of heavily-thatched low cottages and farm buildings in the middle distance.
