Antwerp, 1640-Paris, 1707. G. F. F. The master piece of one considered by many the greatest of engravers. It has been called the finest portrait engraved. Longhi enthusiastically dwells on its details; the skin, flesh; its eyes living and seeing moistened lips; the chin covered with a beard, unshaved for several days; and the hair in all its forms.
