"An excellent specimen of this celebrated painter, expression good and natural, the drapery cast in natural folds, easy, and has much the appearance of satin, the flesh colour is delicate and beautiful, especially that of the hand. The light and shade very good, and full of harmony. Painted by Carlo Vanloo, Paris." [P. 32.]
