"The Family Picture," by John Singleton Copley, R.A., with portraits of the artist, with his wife caressing the infant Lord Lyndhurst, and his three other young children. The gentleman seated, is Mr. Clarke, the father of Mrs. Copley; the little girl in the foreground is the late Mrs. Gardiner Green, Mr. Copley's eldest child. Painted about 1780, in England. Engraved by B. Thew. Exhibited at the International Exhibition, at Manchester, 1857. [P. 13.]
