"An oil print - a facsimile of the celebrated Chandos portrait of Shakspere. The original picture by Burbage, the first actor of Richard 3d, and painted from life, was recently sold with the effects of the Duke of Buckingham at Stowe, to the Earl of Ellsmere for l372. This picture is not only valuable as a por- trait, but as a curious imitation of an old oil painting. Copies are for sale by G.H. Whitney." [P. 13; entry does not appear in serial 0070.].]
