These three last contributors are pupils of Mrs. N.H. Benton; their works deserve particular commendation, not having been treated (with others of similar character) as in competition, being exhibited by pupils. As such, they could not be fairly judged by the standard assigned to artists, and yet merit more consideration than they would receive as being even among juvenile productions.
