Two small pictures, received too late for competition, deserve mention. One is Japanese lilies painted expressly for the St. Louis Fair by Gabriella Eddy, of New Bedford, Massachusetts. The other shows a bunch of New England fall leaves, by the same artist. They are both painted with great brightness of color, and are handsome pictures for a room.
