The landscape in oil, which is, according to the committee, the second best in the hall, depicts a woodland road and a mass of oak trees. It is said to be by Krauses, or some such name, and is certainly a fine picture, but is in no way equal to quite a number of other entries. [P. 47.] Landscape in oil.--Second premium, $20; G.M.
