"On the War Path." This is a small Indian painting by Weimar, and one of his best. A mounted Indian warrior galloping over the prairie is the subject. The figures of the horse and rider are projected against a warmly-tinted sky, with a forceful truth in the outlines that makes the little picture one of wonderful attractiveness. It is the property of Mr. Coale. [P. 77.]
