11. "A Glimpse of Lake Winnipiseogee, N.H.," by James Fairman. A very beautiful autumn scene, in this talented artist and writer's best style. Mr. Fairman is esteemed by critics one of our best colorists, and is destined to take a prominent place in the annals of American art. His fine and sensible articles on "Art in America," published in the Chicago "Art Journal," stamp him as a thinker and writer of the first order. [P. 62; exhibited under heading: "Paintings."]
