The private premium of $50 offered by W.A. Tilford, of St. Louis, for the best Imperial Card Photograph, made in Missouri, was awarded to A.J. Fox, of St. Louis. For this premium there was no competition. Mr. Fox's collection was highly interesting. The photographs of Capt. Weaver, and of Charles Wimer and Boyle, artists, were beautifully done. There were so many objects of interest in this collection that we cannot mention them all. [P. 101; see entries 02550095, 02550096, and 02550097 for other works noted in this commentary.]
