Head, cabinet size, in oil.--The first premium, Diploma and fifteen dollars, was awarded to OUTLEY & WILLIAMS, St. Louis. The painting represented a Child, with a pleasing and interesting expression of countenance. It was a graceful picture, free from that florid sensation of coloring so unfortunately prevalent, and would bear critical examination. [P. 130.]
