Flower Painting, in oil.--J. KIRCHBAUM, of St. Louis, exhibited a painting, his own production, of much merit. It was a Basket of Flowers, set in a rich and tastefully gilded frame. There were many varieties of flowers which made up the blended beauty of the basket, and they all preserved their peculiar characteristics. The painting received a large share of admiration. It was awarded the premium, Diploma and fifteen dollars. [P. 130.]
