Painting in Oil, animal kingdom (original).--The first premium, Diploma and twenty-five dollars, was awarded to J.L. SMITH, of St. Louis. It was a fine picture of a Horse, and was a highly finished production. There was also another fine painting of a Bull and Horse, owned by Mr. ELLEARD, to which was awarded the second premium.
