The "Summer" Landscape by Mr. Hudson, has many points of great excellence. The conscientious elaboration of the forms of woodland vegetation, the careful working of the innumerable lights and shadows incident to forest scenery, the modeling of the vigorous tree-trunks, all deserve great praise.
