Mr. C.O. Cole's landscapes indicate good taste, artistic conception, and a happy faculty for dashing off a picture. A little more attention to careful finish would give great excellence to the works of this artist. Mr. Cole's pictures were not entered in the competition for a premium. [P. 27.]
