No. 14. Italian Banditti; capital! with a strong and hearty expression of power. The figures, though evidently enough borrowed, are well-managed, and the scenery somewhat after the fashion of Salvator Rosa: though not in the handling--wants varnish, tightening in the frame, and a fair light.
