29 x 36. This celebrated work has been secured, very fortunately for the Association. Its exhibition at the late Academy Exposition, created for it a reputation inferior to none upon the walls. The subject is a father telling his children the story of "Fee-fi-fo-fum." The faces and attitudes of the group show the wonderful power of the artist in portraying passion and emotion. The drapery and the surroundings are painted with the artist's usual exquisite grace. The work, as a whole, is a valuable, and will prove a very popular, one. [P. 55.]
