After Thomas Roberts. A soldier, with a child on his knee, who is examining the ribbon of honor on his coat, the armless sleeve of which shows the sacrifice he has offered on the shrine of Glory. It is a cottage scene, beautifully and touchingly done. [P. 64.]
Catalogue of Premiums. The following large and valuable Collection of Paintings, Statuary, Bronzes, &c., comprises the premiums to be awarded to the subscribers of the Cosmopolitan Art Association whose subscriptions are received previous to the 28th of January, 1858, at which time the Annual Award will be made.
