33 x 48. The scene is before Oetzthal, the giant peak of the Alps. The great white mountain, subdued by distance into blue, form a background towering up to the very heavens. The river is seen rolling down from its huge base. [P. 61.]
Catalogue of Premiums. The following large and valuable Collection of Paintings, Statuary, Bronzes, &c., comprises the premiums to be awarded to the subscribers of the Cosmopolitan Art Association whose subscriptions are received previous to the 28th of January, 1858, at which time the Annual Award will be made.
