31 x 29. Nothing can be more charming than this painting. It is a "happy" affair. A father in the midst of his children, the youngest of which he has caught from the cradle. The mother's joyous face is well done. [P. 60.]

The following large and valuable Collection of Paintings, Statuary, Bronzes, &c., comprises the premiums to be awarded to the subscribers of the Cosmopolitan Art Association whose subscriptions are received previous to the 28th of January, 1858, at which time the Annual Award will be made.
